Happy Mothers Day**** Maja Design****

Hello,today is my day on the Maja Design Blog & because we are in the month of May I thought I would do a Mothers Day LO for myself. The photo is my my three boys when they were younger. Sigurdur is now 31,Erlendur is 27 & my baby Tandri will be 25. Time Flies!!!!!! The title is My Gift,the I wrote "My gift as a Mother is watching you boys growing up together"

I used the Beautiful Vintage Spring Basics Collection on this LO.........

Out of this Collection I used,3rd of April,3rd of April bs,6th of March,6th of March bs,5th of March bs,7th of March bs,5th of April,5th of April bs,6th of May,Days to Remember.....The Scrap Fx Chipboard used on this LO is,wordlet Growing up Together (2013071),Scribble Heart Large(2013043),Cherish(2013053),Paper Butterfly A (2013025),Playground Alpha (2012306) & Script Alpha. Here are some closeups of detail..............

I did a lot of distressed layers in the heart,& some stitching. Where I placed the scribble heart I used rock candy crackle, & on the outside of the heart I used picket fence crackle,then glued down my repeated words.Once I glued down the heart , I glued seed beads in the heart. On the wordlet & heart I used picket fence crackle & brown chalk............

I rolled up the corner & strips of paper,then punched in eyelets & tied the rolls with hemp. I glued the paper heart, on to a scrap I was working with,then put liquid accents in the holes & rock candy crackle on the solid part.I then glued pieces of cheesecloth & pearl flourishes under the heart.I made the rolled flowers out of some of my scraps.......

I covered chipboard circles to make the buttons........

I love using the backside of the labels,they are the butterfly strips used on the LO.....

Once I completed this LO,I decided to make Mothers Day cards for my mother & my MIL.......

From the Vintage Spring Collection I used 8th 0f April, *th of April BS,& 11th of April,6th of May.................The Wordlet & Scribble Heart are from Scrap Fx & the Blooms are from I am Roses

On this card I used 3rd of May,3rd of May BS,4th of May,Days to Remember,6th of May..............The wordlets & Heart Vine Flourish are from Scrap Fx.This is what my backyard looks like on the 1st day of May!!!!
