Here is a list of Questions that some of the design team can up with,to get to know us better.....
Michelle Logan: What is your scrapbook "kryptonite"? (what style/color/ect will people never see on your creations because you cannot deal with it???? Simple Scrapbooking, that is where I started & now I love to play with all the layers & detail.
Michelle H: What do you listen to or watch while you scrap & why? Music, soft rock,it is on from the time I open my eyes until I close my eyes. I find it relaxing.
Klere: Do you snack or drink while scrapping? What? Water
Adrienne: How do you jump start your creativity when you find it is missing? Distress & stitch the outside layer.
Scarlett: What is your favorite technique(s) to use right now and why? What are some tried & true techniques you love to use? Distressed layers, stitching, detail.
Amy: At what time of day are you most creative,or do you prefer to create? I try to get all my domestic work done first, then scrap (other wise I would only scrap). So I would say late morning, late afternoon. After supper I am toast,so I clean up to get ready for the next day.
Cindy: What makes your heart race? Running short of time to meet deadlines.
Elisabeth: If you were to describe one emotion while scrapbooking, what would it be? Peace, relax therapy.
Misty: What are you afraid of? The computer work that goes with the scrapbooking (groan).
Maria: If you could choose a talent/gift what would it be? To get better with stencil work, inks & paints.
Look at this amazing giveaway for the lucky winner, I see a lot of my Favs in there, I even used the wrought iron window on this LO!!!
Here is my LO I did for the hop & I did some stencil work......
The Scrap Fx Chipboard used on this LO is Wrought Iron Window (2013086),Flourish T Spray (2011075),History Theme Pack "Classic"(2011076) & Garden in Paradise Stencil (2013028). The paper used on this LO is Maja Design Walking in the Forest Collection Flannel Shirt bs. Here are some closeups of detail......
I used Golden Gel Medium Molding Paste for the stencil. When that dried, I rubbed in some Bisque Liquid Pearls with my finger. Then I applied LuminArte (almond beige) & my final step was watered down Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer Mist (decadence) to shadow the stencil......
I stained the chipboard with distress walnut stain, ten with my finger rubbed in bisque liquid pearls, then painted on some LuminArte almond beige.......

ReplyDeleteWow. what a layout. Gorgeous
ReplyDeleteOh this page has the right title Classic beauty....that's just what this page is...so soft!
ReplyDeleteI agree wtih everybody....Spectacular! Amazing! and I love how you are like me and use your finger! (I think I have more control than if I used a brush)...Love that you used just enough chip & embells so as to not overpower the gorgeous photo :)
ReplyDeleteStunning layout, love the colours, stitching and chipboard. Very inspirational
ReplyDeleteThis is out of this world gorgeous!!! Holy cow - really stunning layout!
ReplyDeletefantastic photo and fantastic Lo! Love your work!
ReplyDeleteRachelle, love your designs. Your work must be the way I like to design, as its like eye candy to me. Details are wonderful, I too am afraid of the computer work that goes along with designs, let me groan with you...........ugh.......lololo
ReplyDeleteI really love this soft color LO, thanks for the inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteRachelle your layout is stunning. It just screams class and elegance! What a gift you have I am in awe of your work! :)
ReplyDeleteThis page is so gorgeous! I love the micro beads on the hearts and you color palette is so elegant. That portrait is AMAZING! I think your stitch work and how you finish chipboard is always stunning- I would totally take a class if you taught it because I need help with both! As for the computer work LOL! That's how scrapbooking got so popular! Now one would see your fabulous pages without it! (That would be a huge loss to us if you ask me.) But I have to agree with you- I'd rather be outside adventuring and taking photos for future layouts than inside posting my pages on galleries or following up on blog comments. I love writing so I consider blogging part of the fun- the other stuff? Not so much. ;)
ReplyDeleteRachelle - this page is GORGEOUS! The colour palette is just beautiful and goes perfectly with the photograph. Well done!
ReplyDeleteOh my, this page is elegant, full of details, feminine...it's just truly amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove your colour combo, beautiful LO
ReplyDeleteOk...I couldn't wait to get to your page along the hop to tell you one more time how much I love your work. I already commented on this layout at scrapbook.com but I can say more! It is so InCreDiBle how you achieved so much depth with the stencil work...it looks like an ancient stone relief...very ethereal and otherworldly! What a tremendous gift you have!!! I'm totally appreciating this!
ReplyDeleteYou have totally rocked the beige with this layout! Love the way you displayed your picture, just stunning.
ReplyDeleteOh Rachelle, this is such a stunning page!! I'm not sure when I don't feel that way looking at your work but this one is really so elegant. The color palette you've chosen and the photo - oh my! Breathtaking really. Your stitching is always one of my favorite details to look at. I love it and would love to do it on my pages more often - just don't have nearly enough patience for it. Hats off to you for real. All the details you put in to your pages really amaze me. I could soak them in for good long while. I hear you on the computer work aspect of scrappy stuff. It gets to me as well. I'm not all that computer savvy and it takes me quite a bit longer I would imagine than most to get it done. Certainly not my favorite part of the world scrap either but necessary. The only part I'm thankful for in it is the friendships I've gained, like yours. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful layout Rachelle, I kept looking at your photos with my nose glued to the screen to see every detail :). Your work is always so inspirational! I actually posted a LO today inspired by your work :). Thank you so much for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI hate the computer part of blogging too. I'm not a writer so I HATE it. As for you, girl...there is nothing that you don't do well?! You are truly talented. there are plenty of mixed media people out there that do awesome work that can cause your jaw to drop, but you miss Rach can create with paper in such a unique and heart stopping way that NO ONE can compete with. Now, as for the mixed media part of you creating? You are rocking it too!!! Is there nothing that you can't do?
