Jacobi Fall 2011 ***Maja Design****

Hello, I am here to share with you a couple Design Team  LO's I did for Maja Design.....
I used the beautiful Fika collection on this LO......
From the Fika Collection I used: Bjornbarskakor, Bjornbarskakor-BS, Bjornbarsrutor, Vaaffla m bjornbarssylt, Hemma hos mig-bs, Favoriter, Vaffla m bjornbarssylt-bs,& Chaite BS. To see more please visit here maja Ska vi ta en fika | MajaDesign
The Dusty Attic chipboard used is:
Corner Flourish #2 DA0629
Bookman ABC DA0666 for info visit  www.dustyattic.com.au/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=27&products_id=372

I used Kelly's beautiful photo of her daughter Jacobi, she is so cute! Kelly has a amazing gallery, you can visit Kelly here: Welcome to Kelly Michaluk Photography | Dauphin | Manitoba | Canada. We are so lucky to have her in our small town! Here are some closeups of detail......

I choose my background, inspired by Jacobi's blond hair, then started to layer using the colors in her outfit & in the photo.
I did my usual distressed layers, did some punch work, used a die from Tim Holtz & some stitching.....
I used LuminArte olive vine on the corner flourish & when that dried I dabbed on a bit of Viva Inka Gold Rub.....
I also used burlap & trim in my layer's........
On the Alpha I used LuminArte' Razzleberry, then dabbed on some Inka Gold Metallic Rub....
Here is another LO I did, using a photo of me & my 5 dogs in the garden area that I staged for the Maja Vintage papers. I am so happy I did that, that garden turned out beautiful & was different from the rest of my gardens........

I used 2 different collections on this LO. I love how you can combine the Maja Collections....
From the Vintage Spring Basics Collection I used :9th of March,9th of March-BS, 2nd of May,6th of May, 7th of May,7th of May-BS, 10th of March, 8th of March-BS
From the Vintage Summer Basics Collection:  I used 1924-BS, 1946

The Dusty Attic Chipboard used:
Corner Flourish #1 DA0628

 Bookman Alpha DA0666 & Ferns DA0507

Here are some closeups of detail.....
I wanted my flower clusters to look woodsy as in the photo,so I punched out a lot of tiny flowers, drew lines on them, inked the edges dabbed on some Viva Gold Metallic Rub then put on a drop of petal pink liquid pearls. I glued those down,by just putting a dad of glue in the center (so that I would be able to lift the petals after). I then cut out lots of little flowers from the 6th of April sheet, glued them on to my cluster, then put a drop of opal white liquid pearls in the centers......
Where I did the lace work, I worked with that piece, did all of my distressing, stitching & lacing, then I glued it on to the background, with the burlap under it....
I used picket fence crackle on the flourish & once that dried I rubbed in brown chalk & inked the edges....
I did the same treatment to the Alpha & Ferns.....

Shows some of my distressed layers & stitching.....
Of course I had to use butterflies, as 4 of my dogs are Papillons....

Yes we are all getting older, many people ask me how I get a photo with all my dogs, & all I can say is, it is a lot easier to get it with them, then it is with my sons!!!Thank you so much for taking the time to look....Rachelle
