Christmas Stocking Cards****Dusty Attic/Maja Design***

Hello, today I am here to share with you a couple cards & LO's I did, using lots of Dusty Attic's Amazing chipboard.I love working with chipboard!!! The cards I made are Christmas Stocking cards. I have been making, the tiny stockings, using the Dusty Attic Christmas Banners& thought I would make a couple cards,in fact I may even make more. Before I started to Scrapbook, one of my hobbies was making Christmas Stockings. These cards are stitched together, just like a stocking, leaving the top open for notes, tags& gift Certificates,or whatever else you can squeeze in. Speaking of Gift Certificates, you can now get them from Dusty Attic, plus you can order your own chipboard through Dusty Attic & have it delivered right to your door. Here is my first card,it measures about 4.5 inches wide & 11 inches in length. Oh,you can also hang these up for display....

I hand cut out the little circles for the banner, from the paper, I was using, inked the edges, applied clear varnish & sprinkled on some glitter while the varnish was wet..I did paper layers, used lace, chipboard & pearls in my layers...

I did distressed, hand stitched, paper layers, using DA chipboard, lace & pearls in my layers..On most of the chipboard I used white crackle......
I dipped the poinsettia in water, then heat gunned it so that the petals would curl up.Then I applied 2 coats of red pepper color ink, then a thick coat of  clear crackle.Once the crackle I dry brushed in some black chalk to bring out the cracks.I then applied Prima white sand texture, sprinkling on some glitter as the texture was still wet. I also traced the outer piece of the poinsettia,to make leaves under with the paper I was working with. I then glued all the pieces together, using tweezers,to hold it together & giving the glue time to dry...

Don't forget that you can order, from the Dusty Attic Website, plus get gift certificates...http://www.dustyattic.com.au/. Thank you, so much for taking the time to look....Rachelle
