Little Miss

Hello, I am here to share with you a Design Team LO I did for Maja Design using the beautiful Walking in the Forest Collection....

I had so much fun taking photo's of Anna in my garden, ( BF's grand daughter).I dressed her up to match different area's of the garden.

Out of the Walking in the Forrest Collection I used:Flannel Shirt,Bird Song,Jeans,Mountain Ash,Autumn Poem,The Orchestra of Nature, The colors of Fall, Die Cut Sheet & some of the BS's of the labels. The Scrap Fx Chipboard used on this LO is Art Nouveau Flourish (2013217),Art Nouveau Frame C Set (2013227), Art Nouveau Frame A Set (2013223),Little Miss (2012324) & Chicken Wire (2011186). Here are some close ups of detail....

I first stared off with my distressed, stitched layers,& was happy that I had corrugated paper (from Fancy Pants Designs) that was the was the same blue that is in the Maja paper. I tore it then painted the edges with  traditional tan Studio paint......

I painted the frame with Studio (traditional Tan & once that dried I stamped it using a Tim Holtz stamp & a dark brown ink pad...

I glued down the chicken wire,then glued down some beads. I cut the leafy foliage from a die from Cottage Cutz , using the Colors of Fall BS sheet.I then applied rock candy crackle & once that dried I rubbed in a darker shade of green chalk to bring out the cracks...

On the stem on the flourish I used Shimmerz Paints TextureZ Artie Chocked & when that dried I applied a bit of avocado liquid pearls. On the flowers I used SP TextureZ Brick Wall & when that dried I applied a bit of pumpkin & chestnut liquid pearls. I also did the same to the wordlet....

I punched in brads,then wrapped string around the photo.The trim behind the photo is from Prima,I pulled it apart.....

Treasure your Memories ****Scrap Fx****

Hello, I am here to share with you a couple design team projects I did for Scrap Fx,using some of this months Amazing new releases. The first one is a altered box that I made for a gift for a little girl....

The Scrap Fx stencils used on this piece are: Scribble Script (2013171), Peacock Feather (2013163) & Garden in Paradise (2013028). The chipboard used is: Memories (2013211) & Flourish Frames (2011166). I used the Vintage Summer Basics Collection from Maja Design,from this Collection I used 1904 BS,1909-BS,1899,1932,1932-BS, 1922 & some of the Backsides of the labels. Here are some close ups of detail......

I first did my distressed stitched layers.......

I used on all the stencils & chipboard Shimmerz Paints TextureZ (Tidy Widy) & once that dried I applied a bit of DazzelerZ (Tutti Frutti).  I then rubbed in some brown chalk to shadow the peacock feather,garden in paradise& script alpha stencil.....

Using the script stencil,I put Anna's name on the box,then I glued down some seed beads.....

I was tried not to get any TextureZ into the little holes of the peacock feather,where the holes are is my outline for gluing down my seed beads.........

I used metal flowers & brads for my drawer knobs,here is my next project I did using some of this months new releases..........

The Scrap Fx stencils used on this LO are Peacock Feather (2013163),&Scribble Script (2013171), the chipboard used is Flourish Frame (2011166), Flourish S Ornate (2011005), Imagine Theme Pack (2007230),Dream Theme Pack (2007221) & Moments (2013054). I used the Limited Edition (Sofiero) from Maja Design on this LO,from this collection I used, Strolling down the Rose Path, The magnificent flower street, Princess Margareta's Garden- Bs,& some of the BS's of the labels. Here are some close ups of detail.....

My cousin's daughter Sammy did this work of Art for a school art project,on homosexual relations & labels,where her partner is painting over the stereotypes & harsh words. It is a 40 x 30,India ink, I think it is amazing,BEAUTIFUL, & Sammy is a amazing artist!!!!

I was inspired by Sammy's work of Art ,that is what gave me the idea of stamping on all the words,using the script alpha stencil & using all the chipboard Alpha...........

On the stencils & all the chipboard I used Shimmerz Paints TextureZ (tidy widy), & once that dried I applied a bit of DazzelerZ (Tutti Frutti)............

On the feather I rubbed in some dark brown chalk,to shadow it,then added some bling.....

I inked the edges of all the wordlets with a dark brown ink pad.....

This is where I used the flourish S Ornate & the part of the frame that I had cut & used the flourish's on my altered treasure box.......

Engaged****MAJA DESIGN****

Hello,I am here to share with you a Design Team LO I did for Maja Design. My son asked me to scrap this photo,for a engagement gift....

I used the beautiful Vintage Summer Basics Collection on this LO.......

Out of this Collection I used:1921,1922,1933,1899,1926& some of the BS's of the labels.I also used Days to remember out of the Vintage Spring Basics Collection. The Scrap Fx Chipboard used on this LO is wordlet Engaged & Scribble Heart large & Scribble Circle. Here are some closeups of detail.......

I used dark brown cardstock in my layers,& a charcoal brown for my stitching,to bring out all the layers. On the wordlet I used picket fence crackle & once that dried I rubbed in brown chalk & inked the edges....

I used walnut stain on the scribble heart,then made a layered heart to go inside.....

I came up with this crazy idea two become one,so that is why I did the photo this way, & laced the heart together....

This photo shows some of the layers,& where I used some of the BS's of the labels......

I used rock candy crackle on the foliage,that I had cut from a die from MFT. Once the crackle dried I rubbed in brown chalk,then inked the edges.....

Life by the Sea****Maja Design July Mood Board ***

Hello, It is time for another Mood Board Challenge from Maja Design........

This Challenged is based on the Life by the Sea Collection.....

From this Collection I used Life Jacket, Gone Fishing BS,The West Coast, Drop the Anchor,  A Day at the Sea, & some BS 's of the labels. The Scrap Fx Chip board used on this LO is Porthole (2011315), Wire Fence (2012075), Pirate Embellishment pack & Chisel Alpha UC small (2006118)....Here is the LO I did for the Mood Board Challenge........

From the Challenge I used Nautic,seashell,stars,stripes,marine blue,trinkets, Life by the Sea,pier,rope,sun,sand,salty air,dark red,&sky blue. Here are some closeups of detail......

The photo was taken by my cousin Jamie,while on a holiday at the East Coast of Canada.I did a lot of distressed layers & stitching. I used picket fence crackle on the wire fence. I first inked the alpha with Tim Holtz Alcohol ink,then glued on some sand......

The linen banners are from Maja Road,this is where I used some of the BS of the labels....

I also did some punch work.......

This photo shows some of my many layers, I left some of the chipboard raw,just inked the edges & added a pearl....

I punched in brads & did some lacing....

I used netting,sand & seashells in this area plus added a bloom from Websters,pearls & beeds.
